About Me
Hello! I'm Joshua Escobedo, a graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design with photography studies at the University of Miami.
I enjoy creating visually stunning designs with Adobe Creative software such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator combined with my photography editing. I have broadened my creative skills by learning to conceptualize and visually communicate through illustration and design. Along with working towards my degree, I have learned high-standard customer service practices, time management, and organizational skills through my work experience.
My skills? sketching and drawing, Mac OS and Windows 11, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, bilingual. My hobbies? enjoy playing basketball, and chess.
My Designs
Editorial Illustration - Adobe Illustrator
As part of my coursework, I designed an Advanced Digital Illustration in Adobe Illustrator. The design elements were carefully chosen to convey the Summer Heat Waves by including the illustrations of fireworks, sweat drops, outer ring of the earth in red, and the two main countries that were affected the USA flag and the China flag.The result was a cohesive Illustration that reflects its meaning as to what happened around the world globally.
About my Travels Zine
Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
For this class project, I used Adobe Illustrator and InDesign to design my Zine. For the page layouts, I used InDesign. For my photographs, I uploaded them to Illustrator. I found Filters in Illustrator in each of my Travel pages. The design was based on my personal travels (Italy, Spain, North Carolina, and Miami). The result was a highly engaging zine that showcased my travels.
Artist Book- Hand Drawn Illustration
In this project, I created an Artist Book that represented my life to present day. I created a hand drawn illustrations on each flap of the construction paper folds. Starting with the beginning highlighting when I was born as an image of the sunrising indicating a new day. It ends with a muscle flex and laptop indiciating my current life in University focusing on finishing my degree. The design incorporated using color pencils to bring each illustration to life.
Branding
This project was about designing a brand which I named "Everyday Comfort". It is related to shoes that have soles which adjust to the person's feet. It helps to alleviate pain to athletes due to injuries. I created the logo in InDesign., the packaging in Photoshop, and an additional shoe foot sole that has the branding's promise to Experience Pain Free (slogan).

Graphic Design/Strategic Communication
As part of my Graphic Design/Strategic Communication class, I designed two travel posters for two different countries (Italy and Spain)along with one of the countries brochures. The result was visually stunning posters that promoted each country using Adobe Photoshop.
